Accessibility and design
Keyboard and screen readers
The app uses native buttons, selects, text fields, checkboxes, progress elements and labelled status messages. Tab moves through the controls in page order. The Transcript, Setup and Diagnostics tabs follow the standard tab pattern. The transcript source controls are checkboxes, so you can filter by microphone, screen audio, screenshots and OCR without losing chronology.
Capture and status
Microphone and screen-capture controls state whether they are on or off. Model and OCR downloads report their state and progress. Browser permission prompts are provided by the browser and operating system, so their exact wording and focus behaviour can vary.
Screenshots
When local OCR is enabled, each saved screenshot has alternative text made from its OCR result, and that text is also added as an OCR transcript entry. OCR does not describe non-text visual content and can make mistakes.
Appearance
Choose system, light, dark, muted light or muted dark modes. Colour is not the only indication of control state or source. Focus indicators are visible, and controls have text labels or accessible names.
Feedback
Please report an accessibility problem through Contact / feedback, including the browser, operating system and assistive technology where you are comfortable doing so.
