This application is designed to process speech and screenshots locally in your browser.
Your data
Microphone audio, computer audio, transcripts, screenshots, OCR text, model choices and settings are processed or stored in browser-managed storage on your device. The application has no developer-operated transcription server and does not send speech, transcript or screenshot content to a cloud AI service.
Model downloads
The first Moonshine Base download, any optional speech model you select, and local OCR assets require the browser to fetch model files from their configured public model source or this site. After a valid model is cached, it is reused offline where the browser and storage permit. Model-download requests necessarily reveal normal network information to the download host, but do not contain captured audio, transcript text or screenshots.
Browser storage and deletion
Downloaded models, saved sessions and screenshots remain in this browser until you remove them in the app or clear browser site data. Browser storage is scoped to this site and browser profile; it is not a backup service. Export any material you need to keep.
When data leaves the browser
Your content leaves the browser only when you explicitly download an export or screenshot, or when you use browser-provided sharing features. The site does not use analytics, advertising, tracking cookies, accounts or social-media integrations.
